The UnidosUS Learning Alliance (ULA) is currently registering counselors for the Financial Capability: Financial Counseling training in Phoenix, AZ. The training is located at the Phoenix Corporate Center, 3003 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ, 85012.  The training will begin on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. and go through Tuesday, September 24th, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. 

This comprehensive course, designed for housing counselors and social service case managers, covers essential strategies and information to help clients overcome financial barriers. During the course week, participants will gain a solid understanding of core financial counseling principles, ethical considerations, and best practices for efficient counseling sessions. Course highlights include goal setting, analyzing various income types, affordability assessments, debt analysis, and the art of distinguishing between needs and wants. Participants will also explore savings options, tax implications, asset building, and program structuring for maximum efficiency and profit.
